Here is a quick example of how using a lut in Premiere can get you a desired grade.
Lets say I want the image to look a little more “film-like”
I’ll start by looking at the image as captured:
then, in Premiere, I’ll add a “Lumetri Color” effect layer, and then under the creative portion where it says “Look” I’ll point it to the “nx1_fuji.cube” LUT:
still not exactly what I want, so under the basic area of the “Lumetri Color” effect, I adjust the whole image to be a little more blue (temperature), and just a bit towards green (tint) to achieve the white balance that I want. Then I crush the blacks a little more (-20) to make the shadows more of a contrast, plus I really think it makes her eyes pop:
